To use the advanced and powerful features of MySQL, most of the database users are migrating their Microsoft Access database to MySQL database. While migration provides lots of benefits like multi user access, cross platform, high performance, strong security system, it can also result into complete or partial corruption of Access database. To overcome such database corruption scenarios, the best possible way is to restore the data from an updated backup. However, in case of absence of an updated backup or backup falling short of restoring the required data, you will need to opt for advanced access repair application that can comprehensively repair the corrupted database.

Ultriva Inc., the company that designs software and solutions to enable ‘Lean Business’ through customer-centered manufacturing, has launched a free tool that lets manufacturers quickly quantify the potential savings that could be gained through inventory reduction. The Lean Assessment Tool, announced one year ago is available online at www.ultriva.com and assists materials management, supply chain replenishment, purchasing and operations professionals in their quest to streamline their manufacturing value chain.
The Lean Assessment Tool lets users upload hundreds of parts histories and then graphically visualize their current replenishment patterns along with future potential opportunities. Ultriva’s patent-pending consumption-driven replenishment algorithms allow users to perform ‘what if’ simulations in real time.
“Even though the ‘lean philosophy’ can permeate the corporation in terms of process changes and improvements, one area where it has immediate impact is inventory management,” said Narayan Laksham, CEO of Ultriva. “Having the right amount and correct mix of inventory is the key to achieving near-perfect, on-time delivery. The Lean Assessment Tool provides a fast assessment of where a company can optimize its parts inventory and puts a company on the road to just-in-time replenishment. Companies that used the tool during the recent three-month beta period have, in aggregate, identified potential cost savings of more than $10M.”
Accessing the Lean Assessment Tool is easy. After a two-step registration process, users log in and upload their own inventory data (ideally six to twelve months of historical information), guided by a helpful wizard. The Lean Assessment Tool then performs a comprehensive inventory sizing analysis and instantly identifies specific parts that can be optimized through inventory reduction. Users can then:
Look at potential savings by parts and by suppliers.
View the top 100 parts that offer the highest savings.
Conduct ‘What If’ analyses by interactively varying lot sizes, lead times and safety stocks.
Create reports and charts that can be exported and saved locally.
Share the analysis with team members and management.
“Several of our current customers have been able to quickly identify parts that should go into a pilot study, additional suppliers they should bring online, or additional plants that should go live,” added Laksham. “On average, companies that use the Lean Assessment Tool identify cost savings of 30 to 50 percent, which implies a very good ROI for implementing a consumption-driven replenishment methodology.”
The Lean Assessment Tool is useful for any manufacturer, no matter where it is on the path toward a lean manufacturing program. “We often work with companies using an MRP system that had given up on manual Kanban methods. They want to know if electronic Kanban is right for them. The Lean Assessment Tool can answer that question because it’s like having a Lean expert on your desktop,” added Laksham.

If you have been serving Google Adsense ads on your website’s for a while, or is getting ready to do it, you are probably wondering how you can benefit the most from Google’s Adsense program….
It is no secret that there is big bucks in writing e-books, courses and creating products geared around Google’s Adsense program. Many of these products are sold for several hundred dollars, claiming that they will show you “the hidden secrets” to Adsense success.
Some of the Adsense products and Adsense books offered does actually offer you value for your money, but there are also many scam artists operating in this business.
Let us tell you the biggest secret to Google’s Adsense program “There are NO secrets!“.
Now, how can we claim this?
By using pure logic, it is obvious that everyone is bound by the same terms and conditions for using Google’s Adsense program, which again means that the only party that is in full control is Google.
With that being said, there are several things you can do to optimize your Adsense earnings, also without being in danger of violating Google’s Adsense Terms.
1. Select the Google Adsense Ad type that fits your design best – and gives the best CTR.
Through several months of research, both by us and other Adsense users, it has been concluded that the 2 best general performing ad types are:
- Skyscraper 160×600 with text ads.
- Placement: Left or Right side
- Big Rectangle 336 x280 with text ads.
- Placement: Top or Middle
2. Select a Colour scheme that fits the design of your pages.
This is a much discussed part about optimizing Adsense income, and the opinions does vary.
However, our recommendations is that you select one of the following Colour schemes.
2.1 Colour scheme that matches your website
If you look to the top of this text, you will see that the Google Adsense ads are served on a white background (the same as the page background), without any borders, and with a font and link colour that matches the rest of the site. This is what is called a “non-intrusive” Adsense ad colour scheme, because it doesn’t scream at the website visitor, and is therefore considered a part of the site, instead of a disturbance to the eye.
2.2 Use a random colour scheme (secret revealed!)
By using the techniques discussed in Adsense Tips, you can have Google serve Adsense ads on your website, and dynamically switch between 4 different colour schemes. This is actually one of the much overlooked features of the Adsense program, and by some referred to as a “big secret“…
3 . Do SEO (search engine optimization) on your website.
Google doesn’t reveal how it’s Googlebot determines what type of ad’s to show on your website.
But if you follow these guidelines, it is our experience that Google does serve highly relevant Adsense ads, and additionally your websites will get well indexed by search engine robots.
- Use a METATITLE, that defines what each page is about.
- Use METATAGS, to define the keywords that match your page content.
- If possible, register a domain name that has your top keyword in it.
- On the first line of the page, give a descriptive title of your page in <h1> tags.
- Try to avoid using top navigation, use left navigation instead.
- Always create a robots.txt file.
- Remember to create a sitemap file.
- Do a search on Google for “SEO” and gather more information.
